Tens Unit Electrode Placement: What You Should Know?

Do you experience muscle pain? It’s possible that the pain was caused by an injury, overuse or strain. Today, a lot of Americans turn to TENS (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation) Unit Therapy to relieve their muscle pain in the hips, lower back, and arms.

Using a TENS Unit in the home may be a part of the complete treatment program recommended by a physical therapist, a chiropractor or a physician. These professionals know the musculoskeletal system as well as how to effectively place the pads onto the skin for pain relief.

Placing the electrodes in the proper area is the first step to achieving the most benefit from your TENS or EMS unit. Use this TENS unit placement chart as a handy reference to guide you when placing your TENS unit electrodes on your body during pain relief treatments. If you consult with a medical professional about using your TENS unit, they will likely be able to assist you further in determining the best place to put your electrodes for your specific pain symptoms.

It is important to know how to use TENS Unit Pads in order to get best results. If you don't apply your Pads properly, you probably will not get the expected outcome from your TENS unit therapy. We designed our Ultimate Pad Placement Guide for our customers to get most benefit from TechCare Massager Tens Units.

My brother-in-law recommended a TENS unit about 3 years ago. At the time it sounded to me like a snake oil sort of thing and passed on it. Since then I was introduced to the benefits of CES (cranial electrotherapy stimulation) as an aid to various ailments, so I became familiar with having a harmless very low electrical current pulsing its way through two points of my body. Not a big deal once you experience it. Then a few months ago one of my arthritic knees started acting up and I returned to considering TENS therapy. And I’m very glad I did. I find that using the unit as directed is the best way of experiencing positive results. No more pain pills, either OTC or prescription, to wreak havoc with your internal organs. I use the TechCare Pro24 unit and recommend it highly. The only downside I can see is a potential time and/or convenience issue for folks who are very busy with work and/or other endeavors. I’m retired so the benefit it gives me far outweighs any time issue. Just considering the low cost alone of these units versus the ongoing cost of drugs makes it a no-brainer. Get one, use it as directed, and enjoy some pain free living.

I purchased my TechCare Massager Plus Tens unit about 3 weeks ago. I broke my wrist and messed up my shoulder about 3 months ago. This is my BEST FRIEND right now!!!! but… I went outside to get something that had blown into the pool and my unit fell into the pool. OH KNOW!!! I was going to get the mini from (Amazon) but I decided to call TechCare customer service to see if the 2 units were compatible.. I told Charlie what happened, knowing this was not a covered warranty, and he set me up with what I needed to replace at a better price than I would have gotten at (Amazon). I’m glad I called, and can’t wait to get my BEST FRIEND back!

This TechCare Plus 24 tens unit is amazing. I just started using it 20 minutes ago. I was so excited about how it was working that I had to give it a review. I love how I’m able to set the intensity on the 2 sets of pads individually using channel A and channel B. I’m on my third mode right now and have 21 modes left to try out. Looking forward to trying them. Also like that I can set the time by 10 minute intervals up to 60 minutes. And I like how it shows the battery status and comes with a rechargeable lithium battery. Words can’t say enough. I’ve been battling pain, aches, stiffness and soreness since last February from my third acl surgery. It has been a miserable year with my knee and finally I have some relief from this amazing unit. The only thing to improve on this unit is to make it wireless but dealing with the wires is much easier than dealing with the pain, etc. Thank you TechCare for creating such an excellent product :)
